One word that anyone who visits the Southern Oregon Coast would use to describe the area is “scenic,” but there is much more than stunning cliffs, ocean views, trails, rivers and lakes.  In this video we discover everything there is to see in the towns of Port Orford, Gold Beach, and Brookings Oregon. Strong communities, arts and culture, and some of the best food and beverage the Oregon Coast has to offer – all in a world if its own, secluded from the larger populations centers of the Oregon Coast. 

Port Orford is a true fishing town, and it’s the oldest town on the Oregon Coast! In town, you will find the perfect mix of shops and restaurants. Accessible waters offer plenty of activities like surfing, kayaking, scuba diving, windsurfing, and more. Further inland you will find all the the hiking and biking trails you could ask for! 

At the mouth of the Rogue River, Gold Beach Oregon offers great coastal vibes and a preserved wilderness unlike any other. Given the Rogue River’s designation as a Wild River, much of the area is undeveloped and protected. Hitch a ride up river on one of the jetboats in town to explore the untouched beauty.

 Brookings is considered Oregon’s “Banana Belt” do to the unusually warm climate for the area. Also known as the “Chetco Effect,” temperatures in this area are significantly warmer than the rest of the Oregon Coast. Vibrant parks and gardens highlight the region with azaleas, rhododendrons, and easter lilies.
